English: This is a circa 1940 formal portrait of the Dutch-American physicist Samuel A. Goudsmit (1902-1978. The image comes from the Emilio Segrè Visual Archives within the Niels Bohr Library & Archives of the American Institute of Physics. American Institute of Physics holds the copyright to this image and has stated that anyone can use it for any reason.
